Step 1: In a large pot saute the onion in the butter over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add in garlic; cook 2 minutes. Add can of soup (undiluted) to pot and stir.
Step 2: Add cheese and stir until thoroughly melted (start with 3 cups you can add in more after). Add half and half cream or milk and whisk until smooth. Add the broccoli and stir. Simmer until bubbly.
