Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can family size condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted (1 pound10 ounce can)
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garl;ic clove, minced grated onion
  • 3 tablespoons butter (can use less)
  • 3 to 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups half and half cream or milk
  • 1 to 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen broccoli florets (poke a hole in the bag and microwave the bag for 6 minutes to steam it perfectly, hand-squeeze out excess moisture) -- or one medium broccoli head cut into florets then steamed
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large pot saute the onion in the butter over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add in garlic; cook 2 minutes. Add can of soup (undiluted) to pot and stir.

  • Step 2: Add cheese and stir until thoroughly melted (start with 3 cups you can add in more after). Add half and half cream or milk and whisk until smooth. Add the broccoli and stir. Simmer until bubbly.
