Step 1: Mix first 6 ingredients, 1/2 tsp salt, pepper and 1 egg. Shape into 32 tiny balls; dredge with the flour.
Step 2: Bring bouillon cubes, water, tomatoes, 1 tsp salt and bay leaf to boil in a dutch oven.
Step 3: Add meatballs and rice, cover and simmer 45 minutes.
Step 4: Serve immediately.
Step 5: You can also use beef broth instead of the bouillon cubes and water. (4 cups)
