Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 3 cups wine cured sauerkraut, squeezed dry
  • 4 tablesppons coarse grained mustard
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled, cooked and sliced, 1/4 inch slices
  • 2 smoked pork chops
  • Pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a lightly oil sprayed baking dish layer, in this order, half of the apple sauce,then the sauerkraut and finally the potatoes

  • Step 2: Season with pepper

  • Step 3: Spread a tablespoon of mustard on one side of each chop and lay them, mustard side down, on top of the potato layer.

  • Step 4: Spread the top of the chops with the remaining mustard

  • Step 5: Add remaining applesauce, sauerkraut with the potatoes as the top layer

  • Step 6: Tightly seal the dish with foil Bake in 375f oven for 45 minutes. If you wish remove the foil for the last 15 minutes to brown the potatoes
