Step 1: In a small saucepan or the microwave, heat cream just until boiling.
Step 2: Meanwhile, put the chocolate chips and sugar into a blender or mini processor and give it a small pulse to chop the chocolate and mix in the sugar.
Step 3: When the cream is just boiling, pour it into the blender, pop the lid on and blend until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
Step 4: Add vanilla and liqueur (if so desired) and process for about 10 seconds.
Step 5: Divide mixture in two 6 or 8 ounce ramekins (can use teacups for this presentation too) and refrigerate till serving time.
Step 6: Can be made days ahead of servings and if using liqueur making it ahead of time will allow flavours to meld.
Step 7: Enjoy with a dollop of whipped cream, chocolate shavings or whatever your heart desires.
