Step 1: Place the whole potatoes and garlic in a large saucepan; cover with cold water, then bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook for about 25 minutes or until potatoes are just fork tender.
Step 2: Using a large slotted spoon remove the potatoes and the garlic to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3: Add the butter, cream and cream cheese and 2 teaspoons salt.
Step 4: Beat on low speed for 1 minute, then increase to medium speed, beating until potatoes are smooth.
Step 5: Season with more salt if needed.
