Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • FOR DOUGH (I like to use my Feather Bread Recipe #recipe127 )
  • 1 large egg (mixed with fork add enough lukewarm water to equal 1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup milk, lukewarm
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons salt (I use 1 teaspoon)
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all purpose flour (whisked before measuring)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast (bread yeast)
  • FOR CINNAMON-SUGAR MIX
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (I use 1 teaspoon)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup raisins (I use about 1/4 cup)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Whisk flour before measuring, soften margarine in the microwave. Place dough ingredients in bread maker pan in order listed. Set on Dough setting. Press start

  • Step 2: During the first mixing check to assure your dough has the right amount of flour and water - dough should look nice and shiny. Flours differ so you may need to add lukewarm water a teaspoon at a time if it is too dry - a sprinkling of flour if too sticky. Never add more then 3 tablespoons of either the flour or the water. In my breadmaker the whisked flour and the carefully measured ingredients are right on

  • Step 3: In small bowl melt butter in microwave, in a second bowl mix sugar and cinnamon; set aside. (I pour boiling water over raisins and leave for 5 minutes - drain, blot dry on paper towel)

  • Step 4: When bread cycle complete, remove dough punch down. Divide into equal pieces about the size of a walnut, roll each piece into a smooth ball

  • Step 5: Roll each ball in melted butter then in cinnamon-sugar mix. Place in greased bundt pan, repeat layers, sprinkle raisins between layers

  • Step 6: Mix remaining butter and sugar together, pour over top. Cover, let rise in a warm draft free place, 30 to 45 minutes

  • Step 7: Bake at 350 for about 40 - 45 minutes or until nicely browned and done (ovens vary)

  • Step 8: Cool in pan for 5 minutes on a wire rack. Invert on serving plate after the five minute cool.

  • Step 9: Enjoy
