  • 2 shallots, minced
  • 4 ounces Canadian bacon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash Brussels sprouts and drain well; cut off stem ends, then slice in half.

  • Step 2: Heat butter in a large shallow nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; add shallots and Canadian bacon and cook until starting to brown, about 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Add Brussels sprouts to pan; stir, cover and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until Brussels sprouts are done, about 15 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add lemon juice, salt and pepper; stir and continue cooking 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Serve immediately.
