  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (dry fine)
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (I use dry)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine eggs, milk; stir in crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, sage, and pepper. Add beef; mix well.

  • Step 2: Pat into a loaf pan and bake for 11/4 hours at 350 degrees.

  • Step 3: Spoon off excess fat.

  • Step 4: Combine ketchup, sugar, and dry mustard; spread over meat.

  • Step 5: Return to oven for 10 minutes.
