Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoons sambal oelek
  • Fried Rice:
  • 3 carrots, peeled and finely diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 large garlic cloves, chopped (garlic pieces should be chopped not minced finely you could mince finely but you would have to add after the onions and carrots and saute for 1 minute)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 cups cooked long grain rice, cooled or cold from the fridge
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • Salt & pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: For sauce; In a bowl, combine the 3 ingredients. Set aside.

  • Step 2: In a large non-stick skillet or wok soften the carrots, onion, and chopped garlic with the ginger in 2 tablespoons oil for about 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Add in ground beef; cook until golden brown. Add rice and sauté for about 2 minutes over high heat. Add the sauce and peas and cook for 2 minutes, stirring well. Season with salt and pepper.
