Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Step 2: In a saucepan stirring over medium heat cook the butter until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat, allow to cool. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3: In a bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Step 4: Using an electric mixer beat the browned butter and both sugars. add eggs and vanilla, beat on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add flour mixture, beat until just combined. Mix in pecans or walnuts, and toffee bits. Pour into prepared pan.
Step 5: Bake until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes (do not overbake). Blondies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days.
