  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (divided)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided (cold butter)
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese (finely shredded)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the flours, baking powder, salt, 1/4 tsp garlic powder and baking soda.

  • Step 2: Cut in 3 tablespoons butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; add cheese.

  • Step 3: Stir in buttermilk just until moistened.

  • Step 4: Drop by two tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheet coated with cooking spray.

  • Step 5: Bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Step 6: Melt remaining butter; stir in parsley flakes and remaining garlic powder. Brush over biscuits.

  • Step 7: Serve warm.
