Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (2% milk)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives
  • 4 ounces finely shredded aged white cheddar cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter, flour, salt and pepper. Cover and chill for 2 hours.

  • Step 2: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Position oven rack to middle position. Generously butter 12 muffin tins.

  • Step 3: Remove batter from refrigerator. Stir in chives. Divide batter evenly among 12 cups, filling each about half full. Sprinkle evenly with Cheddar

  • Step 4: Bake for 20 minutes. Cool to room temperature in muffin tin. Knock out of pan.
