Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk (approximately)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Whisk together the flour baking powder, salt and herb of choice

  • Step 2: Cut in the butter with a fork and stir in the milk. You might need a bit more the 2/3 cup depending on type of flour. You want a light dough consistency.

  • Step 3: Drop spoonfuls batter into simmering broth dipping spoon into broth to loosen the dough off the spoon.

  • Step 4: Cover and simmer until dumplings are cooked through, about 10 to 12 minutes.
