Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 4 to 5 sprigs freshly chopped sage
  • 1/2 large loaf rustic white bread, cubed
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet over high heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add the onions and saute on medium for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the garlic and celery and sautee for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  • Step 2: Add the chicken stock, fresh sage, bread cubes and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to fully blend. Transfer to a bowl and chill until ready to stuff your turkey. This can be made a day ahead.
