Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 1/3 cup toasted walnuts (Optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add the butter to a 10" (approx.) size oven-proof skillet, or a pie dish. Place in a 425°F oven until the butter has melted.

  • Step 2: Beat eggs and vanilla in a bowl with an electric mixer.

  • Step 3: Add the flour, milk and the salt and sugar and continue to beat mixture until smooth and well blended.

  • Step 4: Pour batter into the hot skillet (or pie dish), allowing the batter to from up the sides of the skillet.

  • Step 5: Bake for about 15 - 20 minutes or until the edges of the pancake are golden brown.

  • Step 6: In a small saucepan, warm the pie filling over low heat until thoroughly heated. Pour the heated pie filling into the center of the pancake. Sprinkle with walnuts (optional). Serve immediately.
