  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked single-crust pie pastry crust
  • 4 cups apples, sliced (4-5 large)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, cubed
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  • Step 2: Toss apples with lemon juice. Arrange into prepared pastry shell.

  • Step 3: In a medium bowl beat eggs. Strir in condensed milk 1/4 cup melted butter, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Pour over apples.

  • Step 4: In a small bowl combine brown sugar and flour. Mis in 2 tablespoon cold butter cubes until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts and sprinkle over top of the pie.

  • Step 5: Bake (425 degrees) for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees and continue baking for about 40 minutes more or until golden brown and setg in the center.

  • Step 6: Serve warm or chilled. Refrigerate any leftovers
