Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 to 2 1/4 pounds pork loin chops (8 center-cut)
  • 1/2 cup milk (or as needed)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (dry)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 medium yellow onions (sliced in half lengthwise, and then slice finely to form half rings)
  • SAUCE
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 can (14 ounce) whole tomatoes (quartered, with juice)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon HP Steak Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey (or 3 tablespoons brown sugar, or to taste)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a shallow bowl combine bread crumbs, flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

  • Step 2: Dip chops into the milk if using then coat the pork chops in the flour/bread crumb mixture.

  • Step 3: Brown in oil over medium heat; drain oil, and set the chops in a greased shallow casserole dish.

  • Step 4: Saute the onion in oil until golden brown (about 10-12 minutes). Sprinkle over the chops.

  • Step 5: In a medium bowl mix the cornstarch with water. Add in the tomatoes, with the remaining three ingredients; mix to combine. Season sauce with salt and pepper. Pour sauce over the pork chops and onions in the baking dish.

  • Step 6: Cover with foil and bake in a preated 325°F oven for about 45 minutes or until chops are tender.
