Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds skinless boneless salmon (fillets, cut into large chunks)
  • 3 large garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • Gingerroot (1 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated)
  • 3 tablespoons tamari (or soy sauce)
  • 4 green onions (whites and green, finely chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil (dark)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pulse the salmon in a food processor until finely ground (it should look like coarse ground beef). Transfer the salmon into a bowl. Add the next 7 ingredients. Mix thoroughly with your hands. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

  • Step 2: Shape into 4 evenly-sized patties.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers flipping once, 6 minutes for medium-rare and 9 minutes for fully cooked.

  • Step 4: Serve on buns with your choice of toppings.
