How to Make

  • Step 1: In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients; set aside.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, green onions, crushed pineapple, garlic, salt, pepper and 6 tablespoons reserved ketchup mixture. Crumble beef and pork over mixture and mix well. Shape into 8 burgers or how many you want.

  • Step 3: Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 165° and juices run clear, brushing occasionally with remaining ketchup mixture.

  • Step 4: Grill or broil pineapple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side or until heated through. Serve burgers and pineapple on buns with lettuce and tomato.
