Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/3 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • Salt and black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Using a large skillet heat the 2 tablespoons of oil over medium high heat. Add onions and saute until softened (about 3 minutes). Stir in the mushrooms and continue to cook over medium-high heat until mushrooms are soft, about 7-8 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute

  • Step 2: Add the butter and pour in the lemon juice. Stir well, until the butter is completely melted. Add the chicken broth, salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer until slightly thickened (about 8-10 minutes). Cover and keep warm until ready to use.
