Step 1: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
Step 2: Add green beans and simmer until just tender, about 3 minutes.
Step 3: Drain; plunge the beans into a large bowl of cold water to stop the cooking and drain again.
Step 4: Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over high heat.
Step 5: Add the cumin and sauté until fragrant, about 15 seconds.
Step 6: Add beans, salt, pepper, lemon zest and lemon juice; sauté until beans are crisp tender and lightly browned, about 4 minutes.
