Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 long thin French baguette bread (sliced into 1 inch thick slices)
  • 8 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoon minced fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 large Roma (plum) tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
  • Pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl mix 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder with oil and melted butter. Brush on one side of each bread slice. Place the bread slices on large baking pan. Bake 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes or until lightly browned.

  • Step 2: In a bowl combine the feta cheese with 2 minced garlic cloves and basil, Season with pepper; sprinkle over toast. Top chopped with tomato. Bake 8-10 minutes longer or until heated through. Serve warm.
