Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Sift together flour and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
Step 3: Cream butter and gradually add in icing sugar and vanilla.
Step 4: Add chocolate chips and stir to evenly distribute.
Step 5: Form dough into 1" balls ;place on cookie sheet and flatten in to 2" rounds with bottom of glass dipped in flour.
Step 6: Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until just browned on edges.
