Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry Italian seasoning (rubbed between fingers to release the flavors)
  • 3 medium chopped garlic cloves (coarsely chopped, do not finely minced)
  • Cayenne (small pinch)
  • 14 ounces artichoke (one 14 ounce can quartered artichoke hearts)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a medium glass just with a tight fitting lid combine lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, chopped garlic and cayenne pepper; seal the container tightly and shake to emulsify the mixture.

  • Step 2: Remove the lid and add artichoke hearts. Reseal the lid and continue shaking the container until the artichoke hearts are completely coated.

  • Step 3: Refrigerate for at least 1 day gently shaking the jar frequently while chilling.
