Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1 pound beef sirloin (cut into thin strips)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce (Sriracha)
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons minced peeled fresh ginger
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 yellow onions (quartered)
  • 4 cups baby bok choy, sliced
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar and hot sauce; set aside.

  • Step 2: Mix the beef and cornstarch together and add to the soy sauce mixture.

  • Step 3: In a wok or large skillet, bring oil to medium-high heat.

  • Step 4: Add the meat, mushrooms, garlic, onion and ginger and cook stirring occasionally until meat is slightly browned. (Add a bit of water if this starts to stick.)

  • Step 5: Add baby bok choy and cook until slightly wilted.

  • Step 6: Serve over cooked rice or cooked bean sprouts or by itself.
