Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/2 pounds rib ends
  • 1 (355ml) can ginger ale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large heavy bottomed pot, bring the ribs, ginger ale, 1 cup water and salt to a boil over high heat.

  • Step 2: Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered, until liquid is reduced by half, about 30 minutes.

  • Step 3: In the meantime, mix together the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, dry mustard and ground ginger.

  • Step 4: Remove ribs from pot and place in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish.

  • Step 5: Mix together the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water and whisk into the liquid left in the pot.

  • Step 6: Pour this liquid over ribs.

  • Step 7: Cook uncovered in a preheated 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 45 minutes.

  • Step 8: Enjoy.
