Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 cups baby spinach, washed, stems removed and spin dried
  • 1 red apple, peel left on, washed, core removed, cut into bite size pikeces
  • 1 green apple, peel left on, washed, core removed, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 small red onion, very thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup virgin olive oil
  • 2/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar or Splenda brown sugar substitute
  • 2 large cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a jar with a lid pour in the olive oil, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, salt and peppr, Shake the jar well to mix the ingredients

  • Step 2: Toss together in a large bowl the spinach, apples, onion, blue cheese and pecans

  • Step 3: Do not pour on the dressing until just before serving or pour the dressing in a carafe and serve at the table
