Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 stalks celery , diced
  • 2 large zucchini , cut in thick half moons
  • 3 carrots , diced
  • 5 cups cabbage , diced
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 4 (14 1/2 ounce) cans reduced-sodium fat-free beef broth
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • 4 garlic cloves , minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Dice bell pepper, onion and garlic clove. Brown ground chuck with these vegetables in a dutch oven. Drain grease.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, chop the rest of veggies.

  • Step 3: Add all ingredients including the browned ground beef and veggies to the dutch oven. Simmer until veggies are tender crisp. (about 30 minutes).

  • Step 4: I add louisiana hot sauce to my bowl. Serve and enjoy!
