Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/4 cups mayonnaise (Do NOT use fat free or low fat)
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 cup prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 pounds potatoes (cooked, cold, peeled and diced)
  • 1 pound ham (cooked ham, I use ham shoulder, cubed)
  • 1 package (9 ounce) frozen peas (thawed)
  • 1 small (4 ounce) yellow onion (chopped fine)
  • 1/4 cup red bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup green bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 8 lettuce leaves (washed, and dried)

How to Make

  • Step 1: For the dressing: In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, milk, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well. Cover, and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

  • Step 2: Cut ham into 1/2 inch cubes, and set aside.

  • Step 3: In a large bowl combine potatoes, ham, peas, onion, and thinly sliced red and green pepper.

  • Step 4: Mix salad dressing into the other ingredients in a large bowl.

  • Step 5: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until thouroughly chilled. Serve on lettuce leaves.
