Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 large veal cutlets, 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, divided
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (fresh grated preferably)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 5-6 slices Mozzarella cheese, thin sliced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Beat eggs well, add 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper; set aside. In a bowl combine bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese, oregano and parsley and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.

  • Step 2: Dip veal cutlets into the beaten eggs, then roll in bread crumbs. Fry on both sides until golden (3 minutes per side should be enough the cutlets will finish cooking in the oven) Place cutlets in a greased baking dish. Pour tomato sauce over them.

  • Step 3: Place Mozzarella cheese slice on each cutlet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
