Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 large (3/4 pound) fresh mushrooms (cleaned, stems removed, chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 4 large garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
  • 8 ounces low-fat cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt the butter in a large skillet, medium heat, brown the rims of the mushrooms, flip and brown the tops about 3 minutes. You don't want to cook them just get a little color on them.

  • Step 2: Add oil to the pan and brown the garlic and chopped mushroom stems - just golden cool the garlic and stems.

  • Step 3: When the stems and garlic are cool mix together the all the remaing ingredients, except the mushrooms.

  • Step 4: Generously stuff the caps, place on a cookie sheet, bake in 350 oven for about 20 minutes. Time depends on the size of the caps. They are done when there is some moisture under the caps. Serve warm.
