  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon savory
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup half and half cream
  • Salt, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Bring oil to medium-high heat in a large, heavy bottomed pot.

  • Step 2: Add onion and garlic and cook until translucent.

  • Step 4: Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer covered until broccoli is cooked.

  • Step 5: Puree with an immersion blender and add parmesan cheese and cream.

  • Step 6: Heat through; do not allow boiling.

  • Step 7: Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
