Step 1: Place 3 cups water, mushrooms, bouillon granules, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaves in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 2: Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes.
Step 3: Return to high heat and bring to a boil.
Step 4: Mix 2 tablespoons water with 2 tablespoons cornstarch and pour into boiling mixture.
Step 5: Stir until thickened and removed from heat and serve.
