Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 5 1/4 ounces turnips, cut into matchsticks (150 g)
  • 5 1/4 ounces carrots, cut into matchsticks (150 g)
  • 7 ounces red cabbage, shredded (200 g)
  • Cilantro leaves, chopped
  • Dressing
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, grated zest only
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Prepare all vegetables (turnips - cilantro) and place them in a bowl. The original poster suggests to use a mandolin for the cabbage but I would use a food processor for all the vegetables.

  • Step 2: In a cup or bowl whisk together the dressing ingredients (olive oil - poppy seeds) along with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

  • Step 3: Pour dressing over vegetables and toss . Taste as you may need more acidity by adding more lemon juice, vinegar or salt.

  • Step 4: Can be served immediately or refrigerated covered for one hour.
