Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: In a bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and sugar together.
Step 3: Add eggs one at a time, beating after each one.
Step 4: Add figs and nuts and beat on low. Using a rubber spatula, scrape down the side of the bowl often.
Step 5: Add dry ingredients (flour -salt) a little at a time. Beat on low until smooth.
Step 6: Drop onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Step 7: Remove to wire rack and let cool.
