Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 jalapeno peppers (use one for the timid), finely chopped
  • 2 large cloves garlic, mince
  • 1/2 cup onion (sweet onion finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon worchestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (lite is fine)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 3 bread buns (hamburger buns, onion/cheese buns)
  • 3 Monterey jack cheese slices (or your favorite cheese)
  • 3 lettuce leaves
  • 3 tomato slices (large slices)
  • 3 onion slices
  • 2 tablespoons oil (olive oil)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix together the Ground beef, jalapeno, chopped onion, garlic, 2 teaspoons cajun sseasoning and worchestershire sauce

  • Step 2: Shape the meat mixture into 3 patties, set aside

  • Step 3: Mix together the mayo and 1 1/2 teaspoons cajun seasoning

  • Step 4: Heat the oil in a skillet (that has a lid) over high heat, add burgers, cook for 2 minutes

  • Step 5: Turn heat down to medium, flip the burgers and cover with a lid, cook for 4 minutes, flip and continue cooking for about 2 more minutes, add cheese slices, cover pan, cook for about another 2-3 minutes or until they are done to your liking. You may flip the burgers a couple of times before adding the cheese if they seem to be browning too quickly

  • Step 6: Assemble burgers adding a good spoonful of the cajun mayo to the top. add any condiments that you enjoy besides the lettuce, tomato nd onion
