Step 1: Heat the oven to 400-degrees F.
Step 2: Toss the asparagus with the oil and salt and pepper to taste - to save on washing dishes, you can prep this on a baking sheet, rather than dirtying a bowl. Slice the lemon very thin. Push the asparagus to one side and make a layer of lemon slices on the bottom of the baking sheet. Spread the asparagus on top of the lemon, and roast for 15 minutes, until the asparagus is tender and browning a bit.
Step 3: Serve hot or warm.
