Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces dry egg noodles ( medium or wide egg noodles)
  • 1/4 cup butter (can use more or less)
  • 1/2 pound bacon (slices)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped (garlic lovers can use more, chop the garlic do not finely mince)
  • 1 green cabbage head, chopped (small head)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed chili flakes, or adjust to heat level (I like it super spicy so I use a heaping tablespoon!)
  • Seasoned salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the egg noodles according to package directions; drain then transfer to a bowl and toss with butter; set aside.

  • Step 2: Cook the bacon in a skillet until browned (about 10-12 minutes) remove and chop, do not drain the grease.

  • Step 3: Cook the onion in the bacon grease until softened (about 4 minutes). Add in the chopped garlic and chili flakes; continue cooking for about 2 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add in the chopped cabbage and cook stirring until wilted (about 5 minutes). Add in chopped bacon and continue cooking until the cabbage is tender about (20 minutes, cooking time will vary).

  • Step 5: Mix in the cooked noodles and continue cooking until heated through. Season with salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste.
