Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces kalamata olives, (black olives)
  • 4 large garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 medium sized lemon, cleaned and thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed chili pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 350f

  • Step 2: In an oven proof dish large enough to accomodate the olives in a single layer, pour in the olives

  • Step 3: Spread the garlic and lemon slices among the olives, drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle on the fennel seeds.

  • Step 4: Place in the oven, bake for 45 minutes, stir the olives several times while they are baking

  • Step 5: Refrigerate after bking and serve cold or at room temperature.
