Step 1: Heat grill to medium high.
Step 2: Trim the ends from 1 pound zucchini. Cut lengthwise into 1/2-inch thick planks.
Step 3: Place on baking sheet.
Step 4: Drizzle the zucchini with the olive oil and season with kosher salt, garlic powder and black pepper.
Step 5: Arrange in a single layer on the grill grates. Cover and grill without disturbing until grill marks appear and the zucchini is tender, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
