The ingredients are:
  • Green Beans
  • 2 pounds green beans, fresh, trimmed , cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Dressing
  • 2/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed, dried
  • 1/3 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • Garnish
  • 1 cup pecans, toasted, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, minced
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled (1 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Beans: Put green beans in large saucepan of boiling, salted water, about 4 minutes.

  • Step 2: Drain, immerse in cold water, drain, and pat dry.

  • Step 3: Dressing: Put olive oil, dill, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper in a small bowl.

  • Step 4: Whisk to blend.

  • Step 5: Put beans in a shallow serving dish and toss with dressing.

  • Step 6: Garnish: add pecans, red onion and feta, toss and serve.
