Step 1: Heat oil and butter, add carrots and onions and season lightly.
Step 2: Cook until translucent.
Step 3: Add garlic and rice, cook for a minute.
Step 4: Add water and cover.
Step 5: Cook on low for 20 minutes.
Step 6: Take off heat and leave covered for 5 minutes.
Step 7: Season to taste.
