  • 10 ounces spinach, frozen (1 box)
  • 6 green onions, minced
  • 4 ounces bacon, chopped (4 slices)
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs, dry, fine
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
  • Topping
  • 1 egg, hard boiled, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Using medium heat, cook spinach until wilted while stirring occasionally.

  • Step 2: In the meantime, chop the white and green parts of the green onions.

  • Step 3: Put the bacon in a skillet and using medium heat, cook the bacon for several minutes.

  • Step 4: Add green onions and season lightly, and continue frying until the green onions are wilted.

  • Step 5: Stir in the flour, bread crumbs, and nutmeg to taste.

  • Step 6: Add the cooked spinach.

  • Step 7: Put into serving dish, and garnish with the egg.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle a little nutmeg on top.
