  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni, dry
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 ounces cream (1 cup)
  • 6 ounces parmesan cheese, grated (3/4 cup)
  • 4 ounces bacon, diced small (4 slices)
  • 1/16 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • Topping
  • 8 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a saucepan, bring 6 cups salted water to boil.

  • Step 3: Add macaroni and cook till barely tender, drain well.

  • Step 4: Precook bacon lightly.

  • Step 5: In a medium bowl, combine cooked macaroni, milk, cream, parmesan, 4 ounces Swiss cheese, cooked bacon, nutmeg, salt and pepper, seasoning to taste.

  • Step 6: Place mixture in a shallow Pam sprayed baking dish.

  • Step 7: Top with Swiss cheese.

  • Step 8: Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

  • Step 9: Let rest for 5 minutes. Serve.
