Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, unsalted and softened
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 plums, pitted and halved
  • Sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Cinnamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and sugar.

  • Step 3: Add the next 4 ingredients (-eggs) to the creamed mixture and beat well.

  • Step 4: Spoon batter into an baking dish (8 or 10 inch). Line top of batter with the plums.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle with sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon.

  • Step 6: Bake for 1 hour; allow to cool and serve lukewarm with whipped cream or cool whip.

  • Step 7: ***may be frozen; defrost and reheat briefly at 300 degrees F.
