  • 1 3/4 cups flour

  • 1 egg
  • 8 ounces sour cream (1 cup)
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup raisins

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Grease twelve 2-2 1/2 inch muffin pan cups.

  • Step 3: Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda cinnamon and salt into large bowl.

  • Step 4: Beat egg, sour cream and milk in a second bowl to blend well.

  • Step 5: Stir this sour cream mixture into flour mixture only until just blended.

  • Step 6: Batter will be stiff.

  • Step 7: Fold in raisins as you stir.

  • Step 8: Spoon batter into prepared muffin pan cups.

  • Step 9: Fill each nearly to top.

  • Step 10: Bake 20-22 minutes until golden brown and sharp knife inserted in muffin comes out clean.

  • Step 11: Makes 12 muffins.
