Step 1: Preheat oven to 350-degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Crush vanilla wafers in a large sealable bag with a rolling pin; set aside.
Step 3: Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla wafers, coconut and nuts. Pour into well greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until tester inserted in cake come out clean.
