Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground pork
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground lamb
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat an outdoor grill on medium heat and lightly oil the grate.

  • Step 2: Combine ground pork, ground beef, ground lamb, and egg in a large bowl.

  • Step 3: Add garlic, black pepper, salt, baking soda, cayenne pepper, and paprika. Mix well using your hands and form into patties about 1/2 inch thick or form into thin sausages about 3/4 of an inch thick.

  • Step 4: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour or up to one day.

  • Step 5: Cook patties/sausages on the preheated grill, turning occasionally, until no longer pink in the center, about 20 - 30 minutes. An instant read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160° F.

  • Step 6: Serve patties on toasted potato buns or sausages on pita bread with sour cream, grilled peppers and onions and fresh tomatoes.
