Step 1: Beat the egg, water and flour.
Step 2: Season with salt and pepper (or sugar for sweet add-ins)
Step 3: Mix together your choice of suggested add-ins or your own concoction.
Step 4: Stir into egg mixture.
Step 5: Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet, so it very generously covers the pan.
Step 6: Spoon in 8 tiny pancakes and cook. Turn once and cook so both sides look golden.
