Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 ounces dry spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon
  • 8 ounces bacon
  • 1 cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 15 ounces heavy cream
  • 2 ounces parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente, drain.

  • Step 2: Save 1/2 cup water.

  • Step 3: Sauce: Cook bacon until crisp and remove.

  • Step 4: Save 2 tablespoons bacon grease.

  • Step 5: Add onions and mushrooms and cook until translucent.

  • Step 6: Add garlic, pasta water, bouillon and heavy cream.

  • Step 7: Cook.

  • Step 8: Add drained pasta and cook until thickened.

  • Step 9: At very end add cheese and nutmeg.

  • Step 10: Season to taste.
